NEW YORK, Nov. 23, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- SIRIUS XM Radio (Nasdaq: SIRI) today announced that Glenn Beck, leading talk show host and #1 New York Times bestselling author, will host Broke Friday, an exclusive, one-hour special inspired by his new book Broke (Threshold Editions/Mercury Radio Arts), on which he will chronicle the fight to fix America from being not only financially broke, but broken in spirit, government, and faith. Broke Friday premieres November 26 at 12:00 pm ET on SIRIUS XM Patriot (SIRIUS channel 144/XM channel 166), the conservative talk channel that airs Beck's daily radio show The Glenn Beck Program. It will replay on SIRIUS XM Patriot on November 26 at 9:00 pm ET, November 27 at 1:00 pm and 8:00 pm ET and November 28 at 1:00 pm and 9:00 pm ET.

In the same vein as Broke, Broke Friday will be divided into three unique sections. In part one, Beck will take SIRIUS XM listeners deep into our nation's history, from the time of the Founding Fathers to present day America, to illustrate the paths and decisions that have led the nation to its current place. Next, he will explore the institutional processes, ploys and deceptions that have led America to financial and political crisis.  For the third and final segment, Beck will outline his ideas on the steps we must take now to begin restoring America to the promise it holds.

"The start of the holiday season is the perfect time to do this show on SIRIUS XM," said Beck. "While we have much to be thankful for, there's also much we need to confront as a nation to preserve the future for our children. I look forward to Broke Friday and discussing what we can do as we head into this season of hope."

Beck is the author of seven consecutive New York Times bestsellers including The Overton Window, Arguing with Idiots, Common Sense and The Christmas Sweater. He is one of a few authors in history to have both fiction and non-fiction #1 bestsellers.

In June 2010 Beck was the featured guest and host of SIRIUS XM Book Radio's Author Confidential, the exclusive series on which iconic authors sit down for candid interviews, in honor of the publication of his fictional thriller The Overton Window. #1 New York Times bestselling thriller writers Nelson DeMille and Vince Flynn joined Beck on the show for an in-depth discussion about the art of writing thrillers and developing plotlines mixing fact and fiction.
