The Robert Plant special will air in several parts - the first, "Echoes, Part 1," will air on Saturday, May 14 at 3:00 pm ET on The Loft, channel 30, and on SiriusXM Internet Radio and through the SiriusXM App for the Apple iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, and several BlackBerry and Android-powered smartphones.

SiriusXM listeners will hear a wide, eclectic blend of music selected by Plant- including songs by Small Faces, Cyril Davies, Sonny Boy Williamson, Terry Reid, The Pretty Things, Spencer Davis Group and The Rascals.

Plant says of this special: "What I wanted to do was try and play the original songs and then the covers and just go through the very early days…The British, we really tried to get the grip of it all and it was very interesting to see what this kind of Anglicized vision of American music was.  So my idea would be to play these things, to discuss them and to just say, if I called it 'Echoes Part 1'… it would be like let's initiate ourselves in English music and where it came from at that particular time."

"We are proud of our long-standing commitment to present original and exclusive music programming to our listeners as selected by the icons who made the music," said Scott Greenstein, President and Chief Content Officer, SiriusXM. "We are thrilled to continue this tradition of music lovers playing the music they love with the legendary Robert Plant as he hand picks music to share with SiriusXM listeners."

Playin' Records with Mike has recently featured Robbie Robertson, Steve Earle, Jim James from My Morning Jacket, Booker T, and Bryan Ferry all hand-curating The Loft during this special show.

Robert Plant recently released the critically-acclaimed album Band of Joy.

Sirius XM's The Loft features adventurous music for grown-ups from a diversity of styles and eras.  Listeners will hear artists such as Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones, Wilco, Tom Waits, Neil Young, Beatles, Warren Zevon, Norah Jones, Neko Case, Joni Mitchell and thousands more.
