The weekly show, which Cardinal-designate Dolan has hosted since he became Archbishop of New York in 2009, will be renamed A Conversation with Cardinal Dolan.  Thursday's episode, which Dolan will host from the Vatican, will air at 12:00 pm ET.  The program is broadcast every Thursday at noon ET to listeners nationwide on The Catholic Channel, SiriusXM channel 129.

Cardinal-designate Dolan will share his thoughts on the honor of being elevated to the office of cardinal and preview the events of the coming days, which will include a meeting with Pope Benedict and the College of Cardinals, the ceremony officially naming the newest members of the cardinalate and the Papal Mass at St. Peter's Basilica.  Joining the broadcast as a guest will be fellow Cardinal-designate Thomas Collins, Archbishop of Toronto.

"I've made many trips to Rome, but none quite like this one," said Dolan.  "As I've said before, I'm honored, humbled and grateful to be called to this role by the Holy Father but this is less about me than it is a wonderful tribute to the Archdiocese of New York and all of the friends and neighbors that make up our community.  I'm happy and excited to be able to share the experience with our SiriusXM listeners in New York and around the country."

Two days after the broadcast, on Saturday, February 18, Dolan and 21 of his fellow archbishops will be made cardinals in a consistory ceremony held at St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City.  The Catholic Channel will have live coverage of the ceremony, hosted by Fr. Dave Dwyer, CSP and Lino Rulli, starting at 4:30 am ET.  Listeners will hear Pope Benedict formally publish the decree of elevation as the 22 new cardinals receive their ring and the scarlet biretta that are associated with the cardinalate.  A rebroadcast of the ceremony will air at 2:00 pm ET that day.

The next day, February 19, the Catholic Channel will present a live broadcast of the mass from St. Peter's, celebrated by Pope Benedict and attended by the College of Cardinals, live at 3:30 am ET.  The mass broadcast will re-air that day at 2:00 pm and 4:30 pm ET.
