NEW YORK, May 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI) will commemorate our nation's fallen service men and women this Memorial Day by broadcasting "Taps" across its wide variety of channels for listeners of all generations.

The one-minute solemn observance will play at approximately 12:00 pm ET on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28, on SiriusXM's music, sports, talk and entertainment channels, via satellite and online, in recognition of the national holiday that affects and honors a broad range of Americans spanning all ages, races, genders and religions.
The observance by SiriusXM across its channels complements the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA) campaign to honor the fallen on Memorial Day. The IAVA "Go Silent" campaign is an effort to remind Americans to remember the meaning of Memorial Day. The group has asked everyone to pledge a moment of silence on Memorial Day at 12:01 pm ET, coinciding with the wreath laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery.
