Former Notre Dame and LSU Head Coach to co-host weekly show alongside Danny Kanell and Roy Philpott
College football season kicks off this Saturday, August 29; SiriusXM will air dozens of live game broadcasts every week throughout the season
NEW YORK – August 27, 2026 – SiriusXM announced today that Brian Kelly, one of the winningest head coaches in college football history, is joining the team at SiriusXM College Sports Radio. Kelly will serve as a weekly co-host alongside veteran SiriusXM analyst and former Florida State star QB Danny Kanell and SiriusXM’s Roy Philpott throughout the 2026 college football season.
Kelly and Kanell - the coach and the quarterback - will team up with Philpott every Wednesday morning at 7 am ET throughout the season to deliver fans across the country high level insight and analysis on programs and players across the national college football landscape. Together, they will offer insiders’ perspectives from both the sideline and the field while debating the most compelling topics in college sports.
College sports programming available on SiriusXM - including the 24/7 SiriusXM College Sports Radio channel and game broadcasts - is available with SiriusXM’s most popular subscription plans, including Platinum, All Access and Music & Entertainment, and will also be available in SiriusXM’s recently announced sports-focused subscription plan, SiriusXM Sports Pass, which launches September 1 and is priced at $5 per month.
"I’m excited to bring what I’ve learned in my many years on the sidelines into the studio with the outstanding team at SiriusXM," said Kelly. "Danny and Roy are two pros with great energy and a passion for the game that I share. I look forward to partnering with them every week to give fans an insider’s view of today’s game and the teams and players we’re watching every week."
With 297 career wins, two College Football Playoff berths and a national championship appearance at Notre Dame, and a SEC West title at LSU, Kelly brings more than three decades of head coaching experience to SiriusXM. Kelly was the head football coach at Grand Valley State University from 1991 to 2003, Central Michigan University from 2004 to 2006, the University of Cincinnati from 2006 to 2009, the University of Notre Dame from 2010 to 2021 and LSU from 2022 to 2025. He led Grand Valley State to consecutive NCAA Division II Football Championships in 2002 and 2003. Kelly's 2012 Notre Dame team reached the 2013 BCS National Championship Game, while his 2018 and 2020 Fighting Irish teams made appearances in the College Football Playoff.
Kelly joins a roster of hosts on SiriusXM College Sports Radio that includes former players and coaches, Heisman Trophy winners and National Champions.
