The two-hour episode of Basketball and Beyond with Coach K will air nationwide on SiriusXM NBA Radio (XM channel 86, Sirius channel 207) and give listeners a preview of USA Basketball's summer events.  After the debut the special will replay August 4 at 11:00 pm ET/8:00 pm PT and will be available on SiriusXM On Demand.

The USA Men's National Team will play a series of exhibition games against Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Slovenia in advance of the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup, which begins August 30.  Coach K and co-host Joel Meyers will be joined on the program by USA Basketball assistant coaches Jim Boeheim, Monty Williams and Tom Thibodeau to preview the team and their upcoming competition.

Listeners will also hear from several of the star players on the 2014 Men's National Team roster including Kevin Durant, Derrick Rose, Stephen Curry and Anthony Davis.

"We are excited to start our preparation for the World Cup and bring our SiriusXM listeners closer to the players and coaches who make USA Basketball such a special program," said Krzyzewski.  "We have a lot of work to do in the next several weeks.  This show will provide insight into the upcoming tournament, player personnel, coaching philosophies and the latest happenings in the sport of basketball."

"As USA Basketball prepares for what will be an exciting stretch of international play, we're thrilled to have Coach K give the fans this special preview," said Scott Greenstein, SiriusXM's President and Chief Content Officer.  "Our listeners will get extraordinary insight from both the coaches and players into another talent-loaded U.S. team and the competition they'll face."

Krzyzewski has been involved with USA Basketball as a coach on and off since 1979, when he started out as an assistant to Bob Knight with the USA Pan American Games team that won gold.  Over that time he has helped lead the U.S. to nine gold medals, two silver medals and two bronze medals.  Since 2006, when USA Basketball managing director Jerry Colangelo selected Krzyzewski as the Senior Men's National Team head coach, the USA is 62-1 in major international competitions.  With the gold medal victory in the 2012 London Olympics, Coach K became just the second coach in USA Men's history to earn consecutive Olympic golds.

Over 39 years as a head basketball coach, 34 of them at Duke University, Coach K has built one of the most extraordinary coaching resumes in sports history.  He is the all-time winningest head coach in NCAA Men's Division I basketball history with 983 victories, and has led Duke to four NCAA Championships, 13 ACC Tournament championships and 11 Final Four appearances. He was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2001.
