James E. Meyer Chief Executive Officer, Sirius XM Radio Inc.
James E. Meyer is Chief Executive Officer of Sirius XM Radio, America's satellite radio company. Meyer oversees all aspects of the company's operations from its New York City corporate headquarters. SiriusXM delivers more than 135 channels of commercial free music, and premier sports, news, talk, entertainment, traffic and weather to 24 million subscribers.
Previously, Meyer had been SiriusXM’s President, Operations and Sales, responsible for overseeing and directing the Company’s automotive OEM (original equipment manufacturer) business, online services, retail markets, product management, and engineering functions.
Prior to joining SiriusXM in May 2004, Meyer was President of Aegis Ventures, a general management consulting company, where he provided support for SiriusXM.
Before Aegis, he held a number of senior management positions in consumer electronics over a 25 year period, including as the Senior Executive Vice President of Digital Media Solutions for Thomson, a worldwide leader in consumer electronics, with full responsibility for Thomson's Digital Media Solutions Business Unit, a global business serving the entertainment, broadcast and content industries. Prior to joining Thomson, Meyer also held several senior management positions at General Electric and RCA.
Meyer serves on the board of Rovi Corporation.
Scott Greenstein President and Chief Content Officer, Sirius XM Radio Inc.
Scott Greenstein is President and Chief Content Officer of Sirius XM Radio, overseeing all of the satellite radio broadcaster's programming, marketing and corporate marketing activities.
Greenstein has extensive entertainment industry experience, and prior to joining the company he was a consultant to Sirius XM Radio on the strategic agreements that were forged with the National Football League and Penske.
Previously, Greenstein was Chairman of USA Films, a motion picture production, marketing and distribution company. At USA Films, he managed all aspects of its film activities and supervised the company's home entertainment business through USA Home Entertainment which handled home video/DVD distribution for the National Football League, National Hockey League, National Basketball Association and Major League Baseball. Under Greenstein's leadership, USA Films released Steven Soderbergh's Traffic as its first in-house supervised production, which won four Academy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards.
Greenstein also served as Co-President of October Films, where he was instrumental in acquiring, marketing and releasing such critically acclaimed films such as The Apostle, and the Academy Award-winning documentary The Last Days, which was executive produced by Steven Spielberg. Prior to joining October Films, Greenstein was Senior Vice President of Motion Pictures, Music, New Media and Publishing at Miramax Films, where he executive produced Anthony Minghella's The English Patient, which won nine Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director.
Greenstein also served in senior management positions at Viacom International.
Dara Altman Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, Sirius XM Radio Inc.
Dara Altman is Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of Sirius XM Radio.
From January 2006 until the SIRIUS XM merger, Ms. Altman was the Executive Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs for XM Satellite Radio where she ran the Legal and Business Affairs Departments as well as Public Policy, Business Development, Human Resources and Facilities.
Prior to joining XM, Ms. Altman was the Executive Vice President of Business Affairs for Discovery Communications, Inc. At Discovery, Ms. Altman oversaw and directed all business negotiations for Discovery's global televisions assets, including Discovery Channel, TLC and Animal Planet. In addition, she was responsible for the talent relations department, the production management department and Discovery's international television syndication businesses. Ms. Altman was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Discovery Times television network, which was a joint venture between Discovery Communications and The New York Times.
During her 20-year career, Ms. Altman has also held several other key legal and management positions at entertainment media companies, including HBO.
Ms. Altman began her career as an associate at the New York law firm of Willkie Farr & Gallagher, specializing in securities matters. She received her J.D. from Columbia University School of Law and her B.A. from Amherst College.
Patrick L. Donnelly Executive Vice President and General Counsel, Sirius XM Radio Inc.
Patrick Donnelly has been the Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Sirius XM Radio since May 1998, managing all of the Company's legal and governmental affairs.
Donnelly has broad experience in corporate finance activity and management, having worked for 10 years as an in-house counsel and as a practicing attorney.
Prior to joining SIRIUS SiriusXM, Donnelly was Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of ITT Corporation, the diversified hotel, gaming and entertainment company that was acquired by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc.
Donnelly began his career as an associate at the New York law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, specializing in merger and acquisitions and securities matters.
David J. Frear Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Sirius XM Radio Inc.
David J. Frear joined Sirius XM Radio in June 2003 as the Company's Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, bringing considerable knowledge of public company financial operations to Sirius XM as the Company grows its business.
Prior to joining Sirius XM, Frear was Executive Vice President and CFO for SAVVIS Communications, a global managed network services provider with operations in 44 countries. He was recruited by SAVVIS to develop the SAVVIS business plan, build its staff and take the new global data communications company public in a $400 million offering in February 2000. His responsibilities included accounting, treasury, tax, investor relations, insurance, planning and cost control.
Frear also served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Orion Network Systems in Rockville, Maryland, coming to this international satellite services company following the restructuring of Millicom, where he also served as CFO.
Joining Orion prior to the start of commercial operations, Frear assisted Orion in raising over $850 million to fund the construction of the Company's global satellite system. He also played an important role in Orion's $1.5 billion purchase by Loral Space and Communications.
In addition to serving as Chief Financial Officer for Millicom, Frear also held management positions at Bear, Stearns & Company, Credit Suisse, Transway International and Deloitte & Touche.
He received an MBA from the University of Michigan, Graduate School of Business Administration in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
